Bridgend-based vehicle sales and leasing firm New Vehicle Solutions Limited have stated that start-up helpand support from the Welsh Government business support service, Business Wales, has been an integral part of their business growth in 2014.
The company moved into its new 1100 sq. ft. premises at Chapel Barn, Merthyr Mawr in August 2014 and is on target to achieve over a £2.5 million turnover in year one, well exceeding their expectations and projections.
New Vehicle Solutions Limited is currently owned and run by directors, Martin Nixon, and Bryn Lee Evans who joined in September 2013.
In early 2013, having worked in the industry for over 28 years, Martin decided that the time was right to start up on his own.
Martin contacted the Welsh Government to see what help was available for new businesses and what would be required to start up a new Limited Company and make sure his business plan was in order.
Martin said, “There is a lot of support and training and advice available from the Welsh Government. This support offers considerable benefits to a business in the early preparation stages and going forward.
“Our business adviser helped us to prepare and successfully apply for a business grant for £2300.00 from our local council, which was a huge help towards new office equipment.
“He also helped us to project and establish all of the financials for our business plans, helping us to prepare cash flow forecasts and profit and loss accounts, for the rapidly growing business,” continued Martin.
New Vehicle Solutions provides vehicle sales and leasing solutions for the B2B & SME market, covering the whole of mainland UK, offering a free delivery to the end user.
Martin said, “We have never thought it was fair that larger companies that ‘bulk buy’ their vehicles are able to acquire them significantly cheaper than the smaller companies and sole traders that may run only one or two vehicles for their business.”
“We strongly believe in treating all of our customers fairly. As an independent business we are able to offer all makes and models from all manufacturers – with our goal being to offer the best-suited vehicle for each individual customer.
“New Vehicle Solutions is not so much about selling, but more about listening to our customers needs,’ said Martin
“Feedback from our existing customers has been overwhelming, it is very rewarding to realise that the hard work and long hours have been so worthwhile.
“2015 is promising to be an exciting year with several new ventures on the horizon, which will add further growth, longevity and development within the business and are currently looking for additional staff to be part of our rapidly growing, customer care focused business.”bridgend, business in focus, new-vehicle-solutions, welsh government
